We are delighted to announce the Class of 2023 for the Techstars Economic Mobility Powered by Samvid Ventures Accelerator. This program is for talented entrepreneurs designing solutions that generate greater economic mobility for low- and moderate-income Americans, in areas including technical and skill-based education, financial inclusion, and economic resilience.
Samvid Ventures is a philanthropic foundation committed to improving lives of underserved individuals through education, entrepreneurship, and wellness.
"My co-founder and I are immigrants. Education has played a starring role in our lives. With Edifii, we hope to bring the very best educational planning and content to all students, irrespective of their circumstances. We are excited to be part of the Techstars Economic Mobility program powered by Samvid Ventures to accomplish this ambitious goal."
- Izzat Jarudi, CEO of Edifii
For our inaugural program, we received hundreds of applications across multiple industries and after extensive review and interviews, we curated a cohort of talented founders representing a broad spectrum of innovative solutions in workforce development, financial inclusion, and economic resilience.
“We sought startups with extraordinary teams that were demonstrating promising early traction in solving problems that address large markets aligned with our program themes. And after an extremely competitive selection process, we couldn’t be more excited with the outstanding and highly diverse class of founders that will be joining us.”
- Keith Camhi, Techstars Managing Director
"The founders in this cohort are outliers in the ingenuity of their business models, and their generosity of spirit and ambition. We are proud to support these entrepreneurs and their transformative solutions."
- Gemma Lenowitz, Program Director at Samvid Ventures
Our class this year features startups addressing a wide array of pressing challenges. Whether it's supporting gig workers, bridging the education-employment gap, or simplifying the administration of government benefits, our founders are driven by their commitment to make an impact.
"Snappable is thrilled to be part of Techstars Economic Mobility Powered by Samvid Ventures — we’re ready to learn from mentors and fellow founders as we leverage a mix of boldness, scrappiness, and humility to move quickly and work toward becoming the industry standard for government nutrition benefits. We’re shaking things up because we believe that food security is a human right."
- Lulu Meza, CEO of Snappable
At the culmination of the three-month program, founders will have the opportunity to showcase their ventures at Demo Day on December 1st, 2023. This event offers a platform to highlight their progress and ideas to our dynamic community of investors and mentors, right here in New York City.
