Just about a week ago we announced that over 50 countries are coming together to support inventors, innovators, developers and anyone with a passion to tackle COVID-19 in their country. Today, we are proud to announce that our commitment to those innovators will live beyond Startup Weekend. The top teams will go on to receive training and financial support.
Techstars will select up to twenty teams from all the country level winners and invite them to participate in an exclusive Techstars Innovation Bootcamp. This three-day intensive program will give teams, mentorship, and resources that will help them rapidly identify and validate their solutions. We want to help them do more faster.
We have partnered with Differential Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital from New York City to offer five $10,000 grants to teams after graduating from the Techstars Innovation Bootcamp.
These grants are part of Differential Ventures COVID-19 Grant Program. The program is deploying $500,000 to venture-backed companies that are using data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence to find a cure for COVID-19 or to support relief efforts for victims of COVID-19.
